Birrbook is operated by Birrbook, based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Birrbook. If you are using the app on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if your account is compromised through birrbook.com/contact.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Birrbook to:
- Commit fraud or any illegal activity.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Access another user's account or data without permission.
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the app.
- Use automated tools, such as bots or scripts, to interact with the service.
- Upload malicious files.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. What Birrbook does
Birrbook is a cashbook tool. You record your business transactions; we store and organize them. Birrbook is not a bank, a financial institution, or a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.
6. Pricing
Birrbook includes a 15-day free trial when you create an account. After the trial ends, continued access requires a paid subscription. Plan details and pricing are shown inside the app before any charge. Pricing may change with at least 14 days' notice by email to active users.
7. Your data
You own the data you put into Birrbook. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to host, store, transmit, and back up that data so the service can work.
8. Account termination
You can delete your account anytime via Settings → Profile in the app, the website at birrbook.com/delete-account, or through birrbook.com/contact. Deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that risks harming others.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
Birrbook is provided "as is". We work to keep the service reliable but make no guarantees of uptime or error-free operation. Always keep your own records of important business data.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Ethiopian law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 12 months. We are not liable for lost profits or data loss caused by your actions or device failure.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Addis Ababa.
