Get started with Birrbook

Install the app and set up your first cashbook in under a minute.

  1. Install Birrbook from Google Play and open the app.
  2. Sign up with your phone number and confirm the code we send you.
  3. Create your business — give it a name and pick your currency.
  4. Your first cashbook is ready. You can start recording right away.

Record cash-in and cash-out

Every birr that moves through your business goes into the ledger — even without internet.

  1. Open your cashbook and tap Cash In or Cash Out.
  2. Enter the amount, then add a category, payment method, and a short note so you can find it later.
  3. Save the entry. If you are offline, it is stored on your phone and syncs automatically when you are back online.
  4. Your balance updates instantly with every entry.

Generate and share reports

Turn your entries into clean reports you can hand to anyone.

  1. Go to the Reports tab and choose the cashbook and date range.
  2. Review the summary of cash-in, cash-out, and balance.
  3. Export the report as a PDF.
  4. Share it with your accountant or business partner in one tap.

Invite your team

Give staff their own access with clear roles — and see who recorded what.

  1. Open Team from the app menu and add a staff member.
  2. Share your business code and their PIN with them.
  3. They sign in on their own phone using the business code and PIN.
  4. Every entry is tracked in the activity log, so you always know who did what and when.

Run multiple businesses

Keep every shop or side hustle in its own set of books.

  1. Open the business switcher from the home screen.
  2. Create another business with its own name and cashbooks.
  3. Switch between businesses at any time — balances and reports stay separate.

Manage your subscription

Birrbook starts with a free trial. Upgrading takes a minute through our Telegram bot.

  1. In the app, tap Upgrade (or message our Telegram bot directly).
  2. Open the subscription page inside Telegram and pick a plan — Standard or Pro, monthly or yearly.
  3. Pay securely with Chapa using your preferred method.
  4. Your subscription activates automatically. You will also get renewal reminders on Telegram.
